Visiting the western side , you will find different residences before Villa del Balbianello, on a beautiful promontory near Lenno.
Continuing towards northeast, there is Villa Carlotta, in Tramezzo.
Then, reaching Bellagio, you bump into Villa Serbelloni, considered ‘the pearl of the Lake’, where many characters of the past as Leonardo da Vinci and Queen Victoria spent some time.
You can’t miss Villa Cipressi and Villa Monastero in Varenna and the climb to the Vezio castle, where it is possible to see one of the most beautiful panoramas on the lake.
Finally, also the part of the Lake near Lecco is suggestive. It is cited also by Alessandro Manzoni in ‘The Betrothed’: “Quel ramo del lago di Como”.
